There are few event venues within Cardiff that can offer such space and versatility as The Grand Hall, therefore making The Grand Hall, an extremely popular choice when booking a venue for any event or celebration.
Unlike many venues, here @ SPHC we are proud to offer exceptional value for money and regardless of the nature of your event, we offer the same hire fee pricing if your booking a Wedding, a Birthday Party, a Corporate Event or any other celebration or event.
You simply hire the venue for the rate detailed below and then select your options including decoration, entertainment, catering and drinks.

The room will be laid out as agreed with your event manager prior to your booked session time and the bar will be staffed (if required from the time of guest arrival) with the venue set at event temperature 30 minutes prior to the agreed time of guest arrival.
Due to the set up time required of a venue of this size, we do not offer The Grand Hall on an 'hourly hire' basis or outside of the times detailed above.

Please note if you wish to include any staging, photo booths, balloon arches etc or any other items for an event, these numbers below could drop in order to accommodate these items. When discussing your booking your event manager can detail this further for you.

BUDGET YOUR EVENT @ SPHC
We are proud @ SPHC to offer a full internal decoration service with transparent pricing meaning you can plan your day and work to your desired budget.
In addition to your decoration, you will also find a range of optional add ons such as entertainment options and other fun items.
No two weddings are the same, so why should you have to have the same catering options as every other wedding? Your special day should be as unique as yourselves!
We can offer a wide range of Menus developed by our in house team of talented Chefs, and we even offer Street Food options through our range of trusted external catering partners.
If you would like to include a drinks package for your guests, we can offer many options to suit your needs and requirements of your special day.
From Welcome Drinks served on arrival of your guests, through to a Bar Token System, we can offer you a broad range of drink packages to further your enjoyment of your special day

2. ARRANGE INITIAL TELEPHONE CALL
The initial 15 minute telephone or Video Call is where a member of the team at SPHC can learn more about your requirements and you can ask any questions you may have.
3. VIEW THE VENUE
After completing your Initial Call, if you feel SPHC could be the perfect venue to host your event or celebration, you will be invited to book a Viewing of the Venue with one of our Event Planners.
You will be sent a link to your event planners viewing availability to book this one hour viewing appointment. During your viewing you will be able to go through the finer details of your event.

We are also proud to work with many local amazing caterers that can provide you with a range of cuisines and to many budgets.
No, we do not allow any 'self catered' or 'community catered' events due to licensing, insurance & recycling guidelines.

No, we are not permitted to offer this to any of our customers, however with all hires, all bar staff are included within the hire fee as well as supply of all glassware and service.
If you wish to arrange any pre purchased drinks or packages for your guests this can be arranged with your event manager.

Due to complex licensing conditions here at SPHC, we can only work with our registered DJ's who are aware of all logistic and licensing regulations around such an old building.
We can supply a wide range of DJ's catering to all music styles, cultures and individual preferances. Please speak to your event manager for more information.
Yes, we have 50 meter squared stage that is the perfect backdrop for any live bands or musicians.
Live Music must be played within the parameters of our venue license, so please ensure the band or artist you are looking to book can conform to the regulations associated to SPHC's specific licensce.
We will need to speak to the artists prior to your booking in order to ensure everything is in place for them to perform and will require all relevant documentation including PAT Testing & Insurance Certificates.
Our Bar is open until 11.30pm for any Friday or Saturday Bookings and 10.30pm Sunday - Thursday
Unfortunately we do not offer any on site parking facilities for guests due to the need for the limited spaces we have being needed for supplier vehicles, however we are surrounded by multiple parking options that are free of charge from 4pm with other 'pay and display' options conveniently located in close proximity to SPHC
