St Peters Hall has played host to hundreds if not thousands of Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, Christenings and Engagement Parties since opening our doors in 1955.  'The Hall' has become synonyms as a venue to celebrate in and due to the layout of The Great Hall and the warm welcome received by all, throughout our History has made St Peters Hall the first choice for countless parties and celebrations.


Our Great Hall can accommodate up to 250 guests for a party and is one of the only venues in Cardiff that has such a big space with no pillars, a large stage and also a bar located within the room.  (please note 150 guests can be sat at one time)

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITHIN MY PARTY HIRE?

Our Party Packages are available 7 days a week and include everything below inclusive of the prices quoted below.  Please note any party packages booked that will require any decoration or additional items, must comply with our venue terms and conditions and will be required to be removed from the venue at the end of the event.  In accordance to the venue license, the bar will close and all music or live entertainment stopped at 11.30pm, with a 30 minute 'drinking up' time available before all guests must be vacated from the venue on the weekends, and 11pm during weekdays.

 

  • Access to the venue from 5pm for any pre arranged deliveries, approved additional decoration or additional items
  • Guest arrival anytime from 6pm (the bar will be open from this time and the room will be ready to welcome guests)
  • Exclusive Use of The Terrace
  • All Bar and Front of House Staff
  • Up to 15 - 5 Foot Round Tables covered with Black Table Covers (set as 10 guests per table)
  • Up to 150 Black pad and Silver Framed Banquet Chairs (Chair covers can be provided at a surcharge if required, see options below)
  • Colour controlled Room Uplighting
  • Modern Sprung Dance Floor
  • Use of Easel upon Entry for any seating plan or welcome message
  • Dressed Buffet Table located within the main hall if required
  • Dressed Gift Table if required

Delicious Party Buffets

Our locally sourced, homemade party buffets are prepared daily by our fabulous caterers and leave our guests amazed at the quality (and quantity) of what we offer.

Chair Covers & Sashes

Give our banquet chairs the extra wow factor by including either black or white chair covers.  A range of sashes can also be added if you wish to compliment your events colour scheme.

In House Party DJ

Our in house Party DJ will have the dance floor filled and the venue Bouncing through a mix of classic party anthems and floor fillers.  Our DJ will liase with you prior to the party to ensure your personal tastes are accomodated.  DJ Price: £250

Photo Booths and other items

We work with a range of local suppliers who can offer everything you could possibly imagine from Photo Booths, LED Dancefloors, Flower Walls, Balloons arches, table decorations..... You name it, we can get it!

Our event manager can discuss these options with you when booking your party.

PA system access (bluetooth)

Not all party booking require the services of our award winning in house DJ, however would still like to be able to access their own music playlists


We proudly can now offer access to our incredible internal PA system (complete with microphones if required) which offers bluetooth connectivity:  PA Access Price:  £75

Drink Packages

Many parties hosted here at St Peters Hall include arrival drinks, drink tokens that can be redeemed at the bar for a choice of drinks or table drinks included for their guests. 


This is a great addition to any party or event and creates a great welcome for your guests.

If your desired date is available (or you have not yet set a date for your party), the next step is to arrange an Initial 15 minute telephone or Video Call with one of the team at SPHC. During this call the member of the team at SPHC can learn more about your requirements and you can also ask any initial questions you may have regarding SPHC during this call

  • What are my Catering Options

    We are also proud to work with many local amazing caterers that can provide you with a range of cuisines and to many budgets.  

  • Can I Supply my own Food?

    No, we do not allow any 'self catered' or 'community catered' events due to licensing, insurance & recycling guidelines.

  • Can I bring my own Drinks

    No, we are not permitted to offer this to any of our customers, however with all hires, all bar staff are included within the hire fee as well as supply of all glassware and service. 


    If you wish to arrange any pre purchased drinks or packages for your guests this can be arranged with your event manager.

  • Do I have to use your in house DJ or can I use my own?

    We advise clients to use our in house DJ due to the complexity around working in an old building, however if you have a DJ you would like to use yourself, this can be arranged.


    Please note we would require copies of all public liability insurances and relevant up to date PAT certificates from all DJ's or entertainers prior to arrival.

  • Is Live Music Permitted

    Yes, we have 50 meter squared stage that is the perfect backdrop for any live bands or musicians.


    We will need to speak to the artists prior to your booking in order to ensure everything is in place for them to perform and will require all relevant documentation including PAT Testing & Insurance Certificates.

  • What Time is The Bar Open Until

    Our Bar is open until 11.30pm for any Friday or Saturday Bookings and 10.30pm Sunday - Thursday

  • Are There Parking Facilities?

    Unfortunately we do not offer any on site parking facilities for guests due to the need for the limited spaces we have being needed for supplier vehicles, however we are surrounded by multiple parking options that are free of charge from 4pm
