IMPORTANT INFORMATION

It is with a very heavy heart that I share some difficult news - after five years of running St Peter’s Hall Cardiff, I was last week given just seven days’ notice by our landlord at St Peter’s Church to vacate the premises.

This has come as a huge shock. I believed we were working towards a new 10-year lease that would secure my family’s future and the hall’s place in the community for years to come. I have always enjoyed a good relationship with the Church, and the Parish Fathers have been guests at many of our events, often sitting and socialising with my family and friends.

I have been completely blindsided by this notice.

On a personal note, this has been a deeply painful time for my family. As we navigate what this means for our future, we have also had to make the heartbreaking decision to postpone our own wedding, which was due to take place in a few weeks - so I understand first-hand the devastating impact this will have on our clients whose events will be affected by the Church’s unfathomable decision.

For anyone with a confirmed booking, whilst we navigate this unknown, our good and trusted friend Spiro, who runs Cornerstone - a beautiful event space in Cardiff - along with other venues, is available to discuss your needs and may be able to assist with relocating your event. If he or another venue cannot help we will arrange a refund for your booking, if this is the case please e mail us the following:

Contrary to any rumours circulating, there certainly was no intention to stop trading and up until last week significant financial investments had been made on the venue to further highten our customers experience.

We have been afforded no information around the future intentions of the Church for the hall. As such, it may be worth calling them at St Peters Church to discuss whether they intend to host your event themselves.

I’m struggling to find the right words, and perhaps I will have more to say in the future, but for now I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported St Peter’s Hall over the years - whether you celebrated your wedding here, performed on our stage, or danced the night away. It has truly been the honour of a lifetime to welcome you through our doors.

Yours, a heartbroken and bewildered
